Origin & Culture


The carrot is mainly native to the Mediterranean Basin, and the one we know in our gardens and on the shelves is a descendant of the wild carrot, which is one of the most widespread plants. Cultivated for centuries, carrots were originally white, yellow or purple. It is only in the 17th century, and thanks to Belgian and Dutch farmers, that carrots became orange.

Can be eaten like ground carrots, grated, mashed etc…

Home preservation


Do not wash them. They keep well in a wooden box filled with sand and stored in a dry and ventilated room.
